Gone for a Run’s Log Off Shut Down Go Run Virtual 10K Recap

As a Gone For a Run ambassador I was given free entry to their Log Off Shut Down Go Run 10K. This race was a virtual race, which basically means you can run whichever course you choose in whatever town you live in.  The only requirement of the race was that each participant had to complete a distance of 10K.

I knew I had an actual 10K coming up, so I figured it was a perfect time for me to be able to complete this virtual event as well. When I received my race bib, I also received a tank top. I put on the tank top intending to wear it, but decided it wasn’t comfortable enough to wear running, so I ended up putting on one of my regular running shirts and heading out.

The tank and the medal that came with the virtual race were awesome and it was kind of neat to get them for a virtual race. Of course the medal is now hanging with the rest. My thinking is that if I’ve earned the medal, I hang it on the medal rack. Simple as that.

Be sure to head over to Gone for a Run to sign up for their next virtual race – it’s a 5 mile run!
