I was recently invited to join “Team X-1” – a group of motivated athletes who compete regularly, belong to clubs and are active on social media. Included with this non-paying position is the honor of joining in on the private Facebook page for the group, along with receiving some great earphones to use, share and promote at my races! It was really cool to read the “bio’s” of the other athletes involved with Team X-1, and I was honored to be in their company.
Along those lines, as a member of Team X-1, I am able to offer everyone a 20% discount on their purchases, so feel free to browse around their site and if you’re interested, I can give you that code. (Also, if you are really interested in these great earphones, keep your eyes open for a future giveaway on this site!)
Just a week or two ago, I was at band practice. I am one of the drummers in the rotation in my church’s praise team. Between running and training, having a full time job as a real estate processor and estate planning assistant at a law firm, being involved in a group that meets every Monday night called Celebrate Recovery and being the drummer on their praise team, there’s not a lot of time left to practice either, but I always try to remember that I am playing for the “audience of one” (God) who knows my heart.
Anyway, back to the story – at practice, the vocals were going over something so I was sitting idly and of course that meant I was either facebooking, tweeting, emailing or texting. I saw I had a private message on Facebook and replied with something to the effect that I was at church at band practice. It was Scott Kennerly from X-1 Audio asking if I could answer some questions for an interview. Out of that quick message evolved a whole conversation back and forth, an email with questions and my response email with the answers and then BAM! Today a link to my interview was posted on the Facebook wall for Team X-1! I read it, and my answers actually made me laugh. Who knows where my head is sometimes!! LOL!!
Anyway, if you are interested in reading the interview, click this link on X-1 Audio’s blog on their website: Team X-1 Audio Interview
